Currently I'm a bit addicted in playing (well, more appropriate to say 'GM-ing') Rogue Trader campaign. This pen&paper RPG came from Fantasy Flight Games, and took the setting of Warhammer 40k.
It's quite enjoyable up until now; in fact, it is very addictive. Somehow.
The players are not accustomed with the dark, grim future of 40k. The system is not that robust in handling powergaming; it is easily abused. The time and place of play is not 'prime-time'; we found many difficulties concerning technical issues. We play using online messengers.
But it is a very enjoyable sessions up until now; maybe because we are respectful one another, realizing that we are here (or there? or online) to play and having fun with friends (in a dark, grim future of 40k.. *shivers* ).
All in all, I am addicted to this game. Maybe my players -my friends- are addicted as well.
